9. Cookies and consent
This website sets no analytics cookies before you consent to them. On your first visit a dialogue appears in which you can accept or refuse analytics cookies. Refusing is exactly as easy as accepting, and while you have chosen neither, nothing is loaded.
9.1 Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)
If you consent, we load Google Analytics 4 to measure how the website is used. This sets cookies (_ga and _ga_*) holding a randomly generated identifier that recognises returning visits. Your IP address is processed in truncated form. Google acts as our processor and data may be transferred to servers outside the European Union. If you do not consent, Google Analytics is not loaded and these cookies are not set. We have set the retention period for this analytics data to fourteen months, after which Google deletes it automatically.
9.2 Necessary cookies
A small number of cookies are required for the site to work and therefore do not ask for consent. Your cookie choice itself is stored locally in your browser so that we do not have to ask again on every visit. We do not use this data to track you.
You can change your choice at any time through the Cookie preferences link at the foot of every page. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings; this may affect how the website works.
10. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These include:
- SSL encryption for all data transmission
- Access control for systems holding personal data
- Regular security updates
- Data processing agreements with all external parties
